Thank you to all of the FYO families, players, and sponsors who attended the Pitch, Hit & Run Opening Day event on Saturday, April 14th.  It was a tremendous success and a fun-filled day for everyone.

FYO would like to congratulate all of the players who competed in the event.  The official results can be found here.  All winners will be notified by Joe Fitzgerald regarding the next round of competition, which will be held on Sunday, May 20th in Somerset, NJ.  Winners of that competition will compete at Yankee Stadium.  As a reminder, only those players in the 7/8 age category are eligible to advance to the next round.  Information concerning the Sectional Competition can be found here.  Winners in each age category will also be recognized at the FYO year-end awards ceremony.

Baseball Bat Regulations

FYO supplies all teams and players with team equipment (baseballs, batting helmets, and catching equipment) and we do supply bats in Rookie Ball and T-Ball.  In the other divisions, many players choose to bring their own bats.  Please note that beginning in 2012, all player bats must meet approved regulations as set forth by Little League Baseball.  Regulations are in place to protect our players.  A complete list of approved bats is available here.  Please note that just because a bat is stamped ‘Approved by Little League’ does not mean it is approved for use in FYO Baseball.  It must appear on the list.  The list is very comprehensive and covers a large number of bats.
